Love Game

Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick

I wanna kiss you
But if I do then I might miss you, babe
It's complicated and stupid
Got my ass squeezed by sexy cupid
Guess he wants to play, wants to play
I love game, I love game

Hold me and love me
Just want touch you for a minute
Baby three seconds is in it for my heart to quit it

Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Don't think too much, just bust that thick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick

Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
are you in the game?
Through the love game
Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
Are you in the game?
through the love game

I'm on a mission and it involves some heavy touching, yeah
You've indicated your interest, I'm educated in sex, yes
and now I want it bad, want it bad
I love game, I love game

Hold me and love me
Just want touch you for a minute
Baby three seconds is in it for my heart to quit it

Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Don't think too much, just bust that thick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick

Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
are you in the game?
Through the love game
Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
Are you in the game?
through the love game

I can see you staring there from across the block
with a smile on your mouth and your hand on your c (huh!)
The story of us, it always starts the same
A boy and a girl and a (huh!) and a game

Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
are you in the game?
Through the love game
Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
Are you in the game?
through the love game

Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
are you in the game?
Through the love game
Let's play a love game, play a love game
Do you want love, or you want fame
Are you in the game?
through the love game

"I think your heart grows back bigger ya know, once you get the shit beat out of you. And the universe lets your heart expand that way, 'cause that's the function of all this pain and heartache that you go through and you gotta go through that to come out to a better place."
- Jake Anderson, Must Love Dogs.

I spent my Saturday night watching a lame movie called "Must Love Dogs". It stars Diane Lane and John Cusack. I didn't actually want to watch it, since I had already missed the first 15 minutes, which I definitely hate doing. Anyways, I continued watching and found it to be a really sweet movie about how do you live your life after a relationship nearly destroys you. Well, it's not that dramatic as I put it, but that's pretty much the storyline. How do you let yourself jump without knowing when it's going to end?

Ok, for the past 2 days, I've been having a bit of a Lady Gaga obsession. Especially with 'Eh Eh' and 'Love Games'. Checkkk checkk check em out!

This week has been full of fun times, examinations, cramming, disappointments, and euphoria. This weekend commenced a time in my life where I had nothing to do, aka reading week. But what was a nice touch to this significant time.. cough.. was the 81st Annual Academy Awards. I can safely say it was probably the most entertaining Oscars in a long while, thanks to a man named Hugh Jackman. This year's Oscars was completely different than any other partially due to the cut backs in venue, production, and replaced with awesome make-shift musicals, an immensely talented pool of nominees, and an incredible host. To be honest, at the beginning of the whole thing, I was a little skeptical because everything was so different than what was traditionally the Academy Awards. Either way, I was completely convinced otherwise after the first 30 seconds and was caught in a giant constant laughter. My highlights of the night was the James Franco/Seth Rogen/Pineapple Express bit, and Kate Winslet's win.

Next, what also began after the commencement of reading week was the three tests I were to have, starting with Monday. So, you can imagine me being not so productive with the Academy Awards on Sunday. Anyways, come Monday, my test could not have gone better. I had a incredible feeling that things were going my way. Once that had finished, I had to study for my International Trade test on the next day. Unfortunately, I was not so lucky. I might have to even drop the course due to my lack of success on the first test, and that gut feeling didn't feel so great. Onward, I had 1.5 days to study for my B2B E-commerce test, in which I spent most of the night in the library, trying to quickly read and absorb the entirety of what we call E-commerce. Come today, my last minute studying paid dividends because I had a giant euphoric feeling while writing it. I hope my results are what I expect. Thank you to the US Miltary for creating my love, multiple choice questions (haha I learned that on a show called QI, you should check that out too, very informative).

Anyways, right now, I just woke up from a deep slumber about 20 minutes ago. I'm waiting for Grey's Anatomy to start at 9pm, then Private Practice. I love Thursdays. Tomorow I have to wake up super early to get downtown to get a metropass for the month of March. I must avoid the line-up! Then, I have a meeting with RCG at 12, and an appointment with my oral surgeon, Dr. E. Grodecki, at 3:45 (Haha I totally namedropped. Jenicka, did you find out if you have the same oral surgeon/oral surgeon place as me? xD). After that, I have to find out if I have to work at 6 - 9:30pm. I sincerely hope not. *crosses fingers* Then, I can see my lovely Jenicka in her first production of REPO! The Genetic Opera. Anyways, that's all for now. I'm out.

All The Way Down

You have broken me all the way down
Down upon my knees
And you have broken me all the way now
You'll be the last you'll see

And some fight you gave
When I pushed you away
From me

And in the morning
When you turn in
I'll be far to sea

And you have broken me all the way down
You'll be the last you'll see

And what chance have we got
When you missed every shot
For me

And in the morning
When you turn in
I'll be out of reach

And in the darkness
When you find this
I'll be far to sea

And you have broken me all the way down
You'll be the last you'll see

5 weeks and counting...

I like how quickly things can change. Now, I can't help but smile.

Trading Heartbeats

You're just trading heartbeats, baby
You're just changing the person between your sheets
You're just trading heartbeats, baby
That's fine with me.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, yeah yeah.

Tell your friends not to speak until they're sober
They would slip as their inhibitions lower
My lips are sealed, but you still speak in fiction
So keep telling your stories, even though I'll never listen

I heard the bad news, I heard all about you
It's not what you did, it's just what you do.

You're just trading heartbeats, baby
You're just changing the person between your sheets
You're just trading heartbeats, baby
That's fine with me.

I've got you right down to the bone
But I don't let my feelings show
But I still remember all the long drives home
We sing, we sing

Whoa, whoa, whoa, yeah yeah.

You're just trading heartbeats, baby
You're just changing the person between your sheets
You're just trading heartbeats, baby
That's fine with me.

Oh, oh.

Give it up and just let it go
What you had you will never know
The reason is right, but the feelings are wrong
Now we sing to a different song.

Do you remember when we sang?
Do you remember when we sang?
Do you remember when we sang?
We sang, we sang...

Whoa, whoa, whoa, yeah.

You're just trading heartbeats, baby
You're just changing the person between your...
You're just trading heartbeats, baby
That's fine with me.

Give it up and just let it go
What you had you will never know
The reason is right, but the feelings are wrong
Now we sing to a different song.

And that's fine with me.

-----------------------------------

I just want someone to not care what I look like in the morning, to accept that I have a meticulous morning routine. I want someone to just be able to sit beside me quietly and not find it awkward. But on the flip-side, be able to talk for hours about random shit in life. I want someone who knows what would be on my mixed tape.
I want someone to know what gets my heart.

Tiny Voices

I've been all pinched up since Saturday
I've run my self dry of excellence
16 long years in-hale the bullshit in
Whatever I said on Saturday
Whatever I did I'll do it all again
19 marks up walls
Each year one short fall of

Tiny voices, make things harder
Everybody will be let down
Everybody will be let down

What is this for ex-parking lot
The dreamers go buy they never stop
20 plus 5 in let the youth cave in

Tiny voices, make things harder
Everybody will be let down
Everybody will be let down

Tiny voices make things harder
Tiny voices make things harder
Everybody will be let down
Everybody will be let down
Everybody will be let down
Everybody will be let down

Ok, seriously if you have a problem with me. Please tell me to my fucking face. Don't go telling your mother who tells my mother, who tells me that she heard from a "friend", that I'm not ladylike at all by swearing too much that, that my photos are provocative, that I wear too much makeup that makes me look like a hooker. Tell me to my fucking face. Oh that's right, you haven't spoken a word to me in almost a year. What makes you think that you fucking know me. Oh, you don't. No, I am not depressed. No, I don't change into provocative clothing when I get to school. I really don't need the extra baggage on top of the 15 pounds I already carry. And this photo of me in a low cut black dress? Are you on fucking crack? Would you like to show me this dress? PS. If you knew me, you would know that "fuck" is pretty much every other word spoken. How dare you use me as an example of what not to dress like to your sister who is fucking older than me. Are you fucking insane? Your so-called sister whored it up all through highschool and your telling me I'm not dressing appropriately? I go to a fucking business school, you fucking douche. If you think dress shirts are provocative, wait til you see me layer it with a sweater-vest! You fuckhead. Yes, I'm not being ladylike at all, so shove that up ur 4 foot frame. Fuck, I can probably shove it up yours with one hand. If my photos seem to be disturbing you, stop lingering on it. As for my makeup, experience some before you conclude what's "too much". Before you start talking shit and judging a person based on their fucking Facebook, get your story straight so you can draw YOUR conclusions correctly. Then, I wouldn't have to defend my character. You're 26 fucking years old. Get your life together before you start talking about mine. So, I'm asking you to give me the 10 minutes of my life back that I spent explaining Facebook to my mother, you fucker.

It's Too Late

What you, what you see is something you can't distinguish,
Something you know that you love.
What you, what you need is something she'll never be.
I think it's time to let you go.

Better ask the Captain.
Do it now.
Do it before we drown.

It's too late, it's too late
I think the tide has come to wash you out,
Wash you away from here.

Here comes the storm, it's moving in and swallowing
Like the bottom half of an hour glass
And we're running out of space.

Better ask the Captain.
Do it now.
Do it before we drown.

It's too late, it's too late
I think the tide has come to wash you out,
Wash you away from here.

Empty ocean is all we see,
The north star is all we need.
This time is probably right for everyone to say their goodbyes.
"May day! May day!" she said to me,
However it's too late
Captain, oh Captain, we've lost our direction.

It's too late
It's too late
It's too late.

It's too late, it's too late
I think the tide has come to wash you out,
Wash you away from here.

Randoms are always there for reason aren't they? Sooner or later, you find out that reason.

Today, I was downtown most of the day because I had to make phone calls to random Canadian manufacturers that engage in exporting activities. Sounds like loads of fun doesn't it? Anyways, after two solid hours of calling, I got 2 potentials out of 15. I really hope some company feels sorry for me and decides to help me out by granting an interview so I don't have to be super stressed.

Moving along, later I met up with a friend from school to go on our adventure of anti-boredom, aka The ROM (I'm sorry Jenicka, I went. You get to go with James when he comes though. Don't hate me). We recently discovered that the ROM was free for one hour, 4:30 - 5:30, every Wednesday. Today was Wednesday. Anyways, it started snowing gigantic clusters of snowflakes. I was wearing my Vans flats. So smart. After trekking through the slush we made it to the ROM. I haven't been there since junior school so it's been quite a while. What were we here to see? The fucking dinosaurs! So we hit the dinosaur exhibit first. I was so glad to see my stegosaurus. Yes, MY stegosaurus. It was always my favourite dinosaur ever when I was a kid. It would be the only one I could draw. And, its plates are the coolest things ever. Oh the memories of childhood. Once we hit the Dinosaur Exhibit, we moved onto Mammals, Minerals, Biodiversity, the bat cave (not so scary anymore), Gems and Stones (?), Egypt, Ancient Cyprus, and the Ukraine. It was funny cause during this whole adventure, we were shopping for ancient artifacts to furnish our homes with. After all that, the ROM was closing so we went to eat dinner. Ok, Korean Barbeque is a dangerous eating experience. Clearly, the burner was on way too high. But, overall that was fun (haha Jean, you would be so proud). From there, we decided to take a stroll and walked to the Eaton Center on a quest to test out the Blackberry Storm. After visiting stores with no demos, we concluded that we didn't need confirmation that it sucked. Then, we were homeward bound. It's funny how group projects make you meet the randomist people and it's surprising how great you get along with them.

Weird. Anyways, I'm excited for tomorrow. After another set of phone calls, I get to see my all of my lovlies in the evening.

Change

And it’s a sad picture, the final blow hits you
Somebody else gets what you wanted again and
You know it’s all the same, another time and place
Repeating history and you’re getting sick of it
But I believe in whatever you do
And I’ll do anything to see it through

Because these things will change
Can you feel it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down
This revolution, the time will come
For us to finally win
And we’ll sing hallelujah, we’ll sing hallelujah

So we’ve been outnumbered
Raided and now cornered
It’s hard to fight when the fight ain’t fair
We’re getting stronger now
Find things they never found
They might be bigger
But we’re faster and never scared
You can walk away, say we don’t need this
But there’s something in your eyes
Says we can beat this

Because these things will change
Can you feel it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down
This revolution, the time will come
For us to finally win
And we’ll sing hallelujah, well sing hallelujah

Tonight we stand, get off our knees
Fight for what we’ve worked for all these years
And the battle was long, it’s the fight of our lives
But we’ll stand up champions tonight

It was the night things changed
Can you see it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back fell down
It’s a revolution, throw your hands up
Cause we never gave in
And we sang hallelujah, we sang hallelujah
Hallelujah

Ah, my life has gotten slightly more complicated. Money issues are killing me again. A while back, Jenicka and I made plans to go to New Jersey for a concert festival aka Bamboozle. Since recent events, aka my surgery, plans are slowly fading. I'm trying to do as much as I can to stop it. "Pants, give me a miracle!"

On another note, I have become a person I did not want to become. A texter. Oh man. The urge to reply to text messages at 4:30 in the morning, the obligation to return messages via Facebook Mobile. Don't get me wrong, it makes me feel slightly more connected. But is it way too much? Damn it, unlimited texting!

PS. I hope you are enjoying the sweet sounds of Taylor Swift.

One Sweet Day

Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
And now it's too late to hold you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away

Never had I imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear me
It keeps me alive
Alive

And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
Together
One sweet day
Eventually I'll see you in heaven

Darling, I never showed you
Assumed you'd always be there
I took your presence for granted
But I always cared
And I miss the love we shared

And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day
Eventually I'll see you in heaven
Although the sun will never shine the same
I'll always look to a brighter day
Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep
You will always listen as I pray

And I know you're shining down on me from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll be together
One sweet day

------------------------------

Here's a nice tune for today's special date.

At the moment:
I'm waiting til 12:30 rolls around then I can take my medication. I have had less than 400 calories for almost 2 days. I am sleep deprived. I feel so weak now that it's getting to be not so cool.

Tomorrow's a new day.

Numb

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control
Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

And I know
I may end up failing too
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be

-----------------------------------

I can't deal with this shit anymore. I can't picture my life 4 years from now, the way that I used to be able to. I hate the way I fear something will go wrong all the time. I hate the way that leads me to choices that will stab my heart a little further.

Hey Stephen

Hey Stephen, I know looks can be deceiving but I know I saw a light in you
As we walked we were talking and I didn't say half the things I wanted to
Of all the girls tossing rocks at your window
Ill be the one waiting there even when it's cold
Hey Stephen, boy you might have me believing I don't always have to be alone.

Cause I can't help it if you look like an angel
Can't help I if I wanna kiss you in the rain so
Come feel this magic I've been feeling since I met you
Can't help it if there's no one else
I can't help myself

Hey Stephen, I've been holding back this feeling
So I've got some things to say to you
I seen it all so I thought but I never seen nobody shine the way you do
The way you walk, the way you talk, the way you say my name
It's beautiful, wonderful, don't you ever change
Hey Stephen, why are people always leaving
I think you and I should stay the same

Cause I can't help it if you look like an angel
Can't help I if I wanna kiss you in the rain so
Come feel this magic I've been feeling since I met you
Can't help it if there's no one else
I can't help myself

They're dimming the street lights
You're perfect for me why aren't you here tonight?
I'm waiting alone now so come on and come out and pull me near
Shine, shine, shine

Hey Stephen I could give you fifty reasons why I should be the one you choose
All those other girls, well they're beautiful but would they write a song for you

Myself, can't help myself
I can't help myself.

You Belong With Me

You're on the phone
With your girlfriend
She's upset
She's going off about
Something that you said
She doesn't get your humor
Like I do

I'm in my room
It's a typical tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music
She doesn't like
She'll never know your story
Like I do

But she wears short skirts
I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain
And I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day
When you wake up and find
That what you're looking for
Has been here the whole time

If you could see
That I'm the one
Who understands you
Been here all along
So why can't you
See you belong with me
You belong with me.

Walking the streets
With you and your worn out jeans
I can't help thinking
This is how it ought to be
Laughing on a park bench
Thinking to myself
Hey, isn't this easy?

And you've got a smile
That could light up this whole town
I haven't seen it in awhile
Since she brought you down
You say you're fine
I know you better than that
Hey whatchu doing
With a girl like that

She wears high heels
I wear sneakers
She's cheer captain
I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day
When you wake up and find
That what you're looking for
Has been here the whole time

If you could see
That I'm the one
Who understands you
Been here all along
So why can't you
See you belong with me
Standing by and
Waiting at your backdoor
All this time
How could you not know
Baby
You belong with me
You belong with me.

[Instrumental]

Oh, I remember
You driving to my house
In the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh
When you know you're about to cry
And I know your favorite songs
And you tell me about your dreams
Think I know where you belong
Think I know it's with me

Can't you see
That I'm the one
Who understands
Been here all along
So why can't you see?
You belong with me.

Have you ever thought
Just maybe
You belong with me?

------------------------------

I think I'm having a Taylor Swift phase. I had one a while back when "Fearless" just came out. But for some reason, right now. Her entire CD is amazing and a much different sound than her debut one. My top runners are: "Fearless", "You Belong With Me", "Love Story" and "Breathe". They're all pretty awesome so take a listen when you can.

I was in the middle of studying yesterday and my sister comes and chills in my room. We ate chips and dip, and got talking a bit. She asked me what I wanted to do once I had finished school. I honestly didn't know what to say because I really don't know. I know I have to get a job, but it would be nice to travel a little bit, or just go to England for a couple weeks. I then asked her, and her reply was, "To get my life started". Hmm. That is actually what I want to do. Being in school, it restricts the way you want to live your life. With so many obligations and responsibilities, school is number one. That means, no partying unless its a Friday or Saturday, and if you don't have assignments to complete or tests to study for. You can't stay up late because you have an early class. You can't really travel places because the only place you can really go is two hours outside of Toronto. Priorities are strictly education related. What happens when that's gone? Once graduation comes? It's hard to say now that I'm living my life at all because I'm still in school, living at home, and have barely any money. One day, I really hope everything will pay off and I'll be able to get my life started too.

You're Not Sorry

All this time I was wasting,
Hoping you would come around
I've been giving out chances every time
And all you do is let me down
And it's taking me this long
Baby but I figured you out
And you're thinking we'll be fine again,
But not this time around

You don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don't wanna hurt anymore
And you can tell me that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did - before
You're not sorry, no no ohhh

Looking so innocent,
I might believe you if I didn't know
Could've loved you all my life
If you hadn't left me waiting in the cold
And you got your share of secrets
And I'm tired of being last to know
And now you're asking me to listen
Cause it's worked each time before

But you don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
Don't wanna hurt anymore
And you can tell me that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did - before
You're not sorry, no no, ohhh

You're not sorry no no ohhh

You had me falling for you honey
And it never would've gone away, no
You used to shine so bright
But I watched all of it fade

So you don't have to call anymore
I won't pick up the phone
This is the last straw
There's nothing left to beg for
And you can tell me that you're sorry
But I don't believe you baby
Like I did - before
You're not sorry, no no ohhh

You're not sorry, no no ohhh

FINALLY. I can breathe a little bit because I won't be working for the next week. Therefore, my scheduled oral surgery will have appropriate healing time. Let me tell you the tale...

Alright, you know that I've been trying desperately to get rid of my shifts on Saturday and Sunday of this week because I'm getting my teeth pulled out this Friday (the 13th... freaky eh?). Ok, for the past 2 weeks, I've been asking people I saw at work, calling people, doing anything I really can to get rid of my shifts. Like I had to right? Yeah. Anyways, yesterday was my last chance to get rid of them because it's the only time before Friday that I work. So, I went into work 1.5 hours early, got the phone contact sheet, and called everyone. Everyone. I was able to get rid of one and not the other. I went to get my Saturday shift exchanged approved and told my other manager Giulia about my situation, and asked her what would happen if I wasn't able to get it covered. "You're responsible for getting your shifts covered". Um, wtf? Like I'm letting you know that I'm going to be ''sick'' because of my surgery and I'm supposed to get it covered? I've called everyone in the fucking book and there are at least three on-calls that day. Seriously, what are they for if not that? Obviously, I did not freak out. I went on to explain that I will not be physically able to work that day. "You're gunna have to talk to Lisa [senior manager]." "Ok, so do you know when Lisa [senior manager] would be in tomorrow?" Then, onward with my shift. At the end, I forgot to confirm when Lisa was going to be in tomorrow, so after closing while walking out of the mall, I quickly asked my closing manager, Melisa. She said Lisa would only be in for a few hours doing district stuff, but will be on vacation for the rest of the week. Ok. Shit. But then she asked me what was wrong and I told her my dilema and she was like, "How many oncalls are there?" "At least three." "Ok, I'll take care of it, but you owe me." "THANNNNNNNKKKKKK YOOOOOUUUUUU." Seriously, she gets major points. And that's what oncalls are for. God. It still pisses me off because it's not like I'm sitting on my ass and doing nothing. I actually tried. Like fuck. I'm not trying to get away from working to go to the tropics or some shit. Like, I'm gunna not be able to talk/eat for a week. Fuckers.

After all that, all is well. I can relax and not having to worry because my part is done. Rather long story, isn't it? Onward to reading week.

I Hate This Part

We're driving slow through the snow on 5th Avenue
And right now radio's all that we can hear
Now we ain't talked since we left, it's so overdue
It's cold outside but between us it's worse in here

The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through my fingers

I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you

I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here

Everyday, seven takes of the same old scene
Seems we're bound by the laws of the same routine
Gotta talk to you now 'fore we go to sleep
But will we sleep once I tell you what's hurting me?

The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers

I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you

I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here

I know you'll ask me to hold on
And carry on like nothing's wrong
But there is no more time for lies
'Cause I see sunset in your eyes

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers

I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye to
Find a way that I can tell you

That I gotta do it
I gotta do it
I gotta do it
I hate this part

I gotta do it
I gotta do it
I gotta do it, oh

I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take these tears
I hate this part right here

Innocent and Sweet

The things I said were never meant to get around
And the trends I started were never meant to make a sound

I'm calling to angels in hope
Still falling through the unknown
I'll keep my pride tonight
I fought for what was right
Please remember me as innocent and sweet

I tried to get them to open up their minds
To worry about love and never about time
And maybe they'll listen and after I'm gone
And I'll keep my reason
Sealed tight in this song

I'm calling to angels in hope
Still falling through the unknown
I'll keep my pride tonight
I fought for what was right
Please remember me as innocent and...

I'm calling to angels in hope
Still falling through the unknown
I'll keep my pride tonight
I fought for what was right
Please remember me as innocent and sweet

Why is it that everyone is focused on appearances? Who tells us what is beautiful and what isn't? Who decides this fine line? Who tells us that we should feel uncomfortable when we're not 105 lbs? Who decided that being 105 lbs will make us happy? Why are we so convinced that it will? Why do our thighs have to not touch, our stomachs have to be flat, and our arms not be flabby? Who are we trying to satisfy? Others? Ourselves? Why would we kill to be a certain way? I'm still breathing. What else is there?

Suppose

Suppose that I missed you
Suppose that I care
And suppose that spent all my nights running scared
And suppose
That I was never there

And my eyes are screaming for a sight of you
And tonight I'm dreaming of all the things that we've been through
And I can't hold on to you
So I guess I'll be lonely too

Suppose we were happy
Suppose it was true
And suppose there were cold nights
But we somehow made it through
And suppose that I'm nothing without you

My eyes I'm screaming for a sight of you
And tonight I'm dreaming of all the things that we've been through
And I can't hold on to you
So I guess I'll be lonely too

Slow way down
This break down's eating me alive
And I'm tired
This fight is fighting to survive

Tell me a secret (I want it)
Tell me a story (I need it)
I'll listen intensively
I'll stay awake all night
All of me is a whisper (So don't leave)
There's nothing left in me (Please help me)
Not even my body is strong enough to fight (Let's make this right)
Please help me make this right

Suppose that I was wrong
Suppose you were here
And suppose that I reached out and caught your tears
And suppose this fight just disappeared

And my eyes are screaming for a sight of you
And tonight I'm dreaming of all the things that we've been through
And I can't hold on to you
So I guess I'll be lonely too
But I'd rather be here with you

Summer Hair = Forever Young

We're crashing cars we used to share
With summer girls
With summer hair
We're driving around chasing the stars
But the party's busted up
Before it ever starts

I'll never let you go
Don't ever forget
Tell me you'll remember
Forever young
I'll never let you fall
It's not over yet
You and me forever
Forever young
We're forever young

Stop making plans, start making sense
Don't you believe any word they said
Sparked up, sparked up like a book of matches
Falling through the night
And rising from the ashes

I'll never let you go
Don't ever forget
Tell me you'll remember
Forever young
I'll never let you fall
It's not over yet
You and me forever
Forever young
We're forever young

Don't come any closer
Don't tell me it's over
Don't kiss me goodbye
Here we are, am i taking this too hard?
Don't say that it's easy
The hardest part is leaving
Don't you wonder why...
Suddenly, we're all running out of time

I'll never let you go
Don't ever forget
Tell me you'll remember
Forever young
I'll never let you fall
It's not over yet
You and me forever
Forever young
We're forever young
We're forever young
We're forever young

2 weeks and counting...

PS. Apologies for the lame ass post.

Falling Slowly

I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You'll make it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along

I have declared a time of action. I went into work today and I saw the new Spring Collection at Jacob. A bunch of their clothes are super cute, but one dress stood out. It was a white-mini dress with a belt. It had a round neckline with pleats coming from it. I really don't know why, but this dress caught my eye. If anything, it's probably the worse dress that would fit my body. White? Come on. Anyways, after looking at this dress, I couldn't help how perfect it was for spring. Maybe this dress will help me with my issues with weight. It would look unbelievable if I could get in shape by spring, more like by my birthday. It would look super cute with shorter hair, which made me really consider cutting my hair. I don't think an article of clothing had such an impact on me wanting to change myself. Really, this dress is too cute for its own good. Time of action, I say!

On another note, after work, my dad picked me up. To my surprise, he had pizza, wings, and fries in the car. Why was this? Superbowl Sunday! Which I totally forgot about. Not that I'm some giant football fan, it was just something fun to look forward to. Anyways, when we got home, my dad, my brother, and I, all sat around the TV, eating and waiting for the game to start. I'm happy to say that I actually witnessed NFL history.
