Play On

What you're gonna do when the show is over
What you're gonna sing when the song is eeire
How you're gonna cope when there is no closure
Where you're gonna reach when the goal gets higher
How you're gonna make it through
When you think you lost your chance

Play on when you're losing the game
Play on 'cause you're gonna make mistakes
It's always worth the sacrifice
Even when you think you're wrong
So play on

Even when the floodgates swing right open
Never let the current take you down, no
Even when you're not sure where you're going
Swimming through a mess and you can't get out
Just going through the motions
Trying not to drown

Play on when you're losing the game
Play on 'cause you're gonna make mistakes
It's always worth the sacrifice
Even when you think you're wrong
So play on

Even through a storm on the darkest night
Don't you ever give up the fight
Even when you feel you're all alone

Play on, play on

Play on when you're losing the game
Play on 'cause you're gonna make mistakes
It's always worth the sacrifice
Even when you think you're wrong
So play on

It's been soooo long since I've last written/visited my own blog. Things are hectic with school, work and with exams and final assignments coming up... it's crazy!! I can say that I'm doing pretty well in school, despite my poor midterm grades, I know that I will be able to pull them up with final assignments and of course, final exams coming up. I'm actually in the middle of studying... kinda got distracted and unable to focus actually. It's been like that all day! Ahh. Only because I studied last week, which it was supposed to be! But my test got canceled, thus I am preparing for it because it is tomorrow. Anyways, since the last time I've written, my life has pretty much been the same old. Nothing exciting actually. Can't wait til the holidays! Which prob be my next post... Should get back to studying. Ta.

Use Somebody

I've been roaming around
Always looking down at all I see
Painted faces, fill the places I cant reach

You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody

Someone like you, And all you know, And how you speak
Countless lovers under cover of the street

You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you

Off in the night, while you live it up, I'm off to sleep
Waging wars to shape the poet and the beat
I hope it's gonna make you notice
I hope it's gonna make you notice

Someone like me
Someone like me
Someone like me, somebody

Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody

I've been roaming around,
Always looking down at all I see

This is the year I need to figure out my life. What the fuck do I want to do?

School is starting in two days. Fourth year. Final year. School to me has been a safe-haven. It's delayed my need to figure everything out. Now that my last year has come, I am confused as to what I want to do in life. What do I really want? Do I wanna to something that makes a lot of money but no heart goes into it? Or, do I wanna do something so passionate that I don't care how much money I make? Obviously, money isn't everything. But it sure is a the non-scary, safe alternative. I'm just too chickenshit to do anything about it.

Either way, I have to do my best this year. Every year it's the same. But somehow, the pressure is definitely intensifying because it's my last chance to show what I can do, or what I can be.

One of my top fears is the fear of failing. I know that life is what I make it, and the most important part is to keep trying to achieve my dreams. But, life likes throwing shit. This year has to be it. It has to be...

On another note, I want to not only go, but live in New York one day. The past couple weeks, I've been watching 'What I Like About You', starring Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth. Hence, I want to live in New York. Haha. Big dreams. So, in life, I'd want to live in either London, New York, or downtown Toronto of course.

When Your Mind Is Made Up

So
If you ever want something
You call, you call
And I'll come running to fight
And I'll be at your door
And there's nothing worth running for

When your mind is made up
When your mind is made up
There's no point trying to change it
When your mind is made up
When your mind is made up
There's no point trying to stop it

You see you're just like everyone
When you share your falls
All you want to do is run away
And hide all by yourself
When there's fall, there's fall
There's nothing else

When your mind is made up
When your mind is made up
There's no point trying to change it
When your mind is made up
When your mind is made up
There's no point even talkin'
When your mind is made up
When your mind is made up
There's no point trying to fight it
When your mind, your mind

There's no point trying to change it
When your

So
If you ever want something
Then you call, call
Then I'll come running

It's weird to hear when a person tells you that you're hard to figure out. That it's really a mystery. When one day, you're dressed one way, and on other days, differently. It's weird when people tell you that you seem like you're a clubber, but in all reality, you're the furthest thing from it... And, when people tell you that there's more to you...

------

The past week or so I've been mad busy. On Tuesday, I pulled my first all-nighter since... the TAI campout last November. It's been quite some time. Because of scheduling conflicts and what-not, my group started out 40% paper on Tuesday at 2pm, with which it was due 6pm the next day. We had met the night before too, only got to the outline stage... then to change it again at 2pm, and at 7pm that night. Anyways, we worked in the library until 12am, the time it closes. Ryerson is retarded like that... it likes to make life more difficult with closing buildings down. Anyways, we found an empty classroom (haha how hard is that to find at 12am) and stayed there to work. Rather productive actually. There was a slump at around 5-6am. By 12pm that day, we were on our editing stages... got it printed at 4:10ish, got it bounded at around 4:40... got it shoved into a balloon at 5:15.. (yes, we got it put inside a balloon with air)... and on his desk at 5:50pm. Pretty fucking sweet I must say.

Anyways, I got home at 9pm that night after dinner and drinks with my group. We all looked like shit. No make-up, hair in disarray. All in yesterday's clothes. No one cared at all. We deserved at least one drink. We talked about how much of a douchebag our professor is, courses, big plans for the next year. Girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, boyfriends, and lack thereof. All I can really say is how much I enjoyed working with them throughout the semester and I really hope we keep in touch because I'm the only one who will still be at school.

This pretty much leads me to today's events avec le Jenicka! Bingo! Balls! Bingo, then Balls! My first Bingo experience happened today. You wouldn't believe how intense this stuff gets. Random? Dab-all? Random, then dab-all?! Anyways, we first won a one-line game, in which we shared the winnings with 11 other winners. That left us with a winning of $28... Then, "scratch" cards were bought with hopes of getting "balls", which had three numbers on it and if called, we'd win a prize. In the midst of it, we ended up with about 50 "scratch" cards and got two "ball" cards... then the game began and numbers were being called. Soon enough , Jenicka yells, "BALLS!". The prize? $200!! Crazy! Not to mention, how many close ones Jenicka got! Oh mannn. Anyways, it was a great experience, which I do recommend to all.

Ok, it's 12ish now, thus I must retire. So, I bid you adieu.

Wonderful

If I fell in love with you
Would you understand me, dear
Love is weird

I colored you a valentine
Struggled just to stay inside the lines
I lose my mind

I really can't believe
I lost myself again

Looking for something crazy
Beautiful love and nothing now
I'm talking in circles again
Have my love, baby
Are you hungry for wonderful
'Cause I am, wonderful 'cause I am

I wrote a song about your eyes
Ate a slice of cherry pie
I cried all night

On the bench inside the park
I'll kiss you slowly in the dark
I'll never stop

I really can't believe
I lost myself again

Looking for something crazy
Beautiful love and nothing now
I'm talking in circles again
Have my love, baby
Are you hungry for wonderful
'Cause I am, wonderful 'cause I am

Baby take me for a ride
Maybe get a little high
In a place we've never been
Time is nothing but a line
We leave everything behind
It'd be so wonderful, wonderful

Looking for something crazy
Beautiful love and nothing now
I'm talking in circles again
Have my love, baby
Are you hungry for wonderful
'Cause I am, wonderful 'cause I am

Wow, it's been a while since I blogged. Usually, it's 2 days, 3 days max. Haha, but it's not like I have a giant readership. Anyways, school is going. But I find myself ditching school work for RCG work. For those who don't know/are still confused as to what I do at school, check out www.rcginsight.com. But it's so bad. I'm skipping class. Ahh. So bad. They're equally time consuming. But I guess one doesn't constrain me to a lecture hall and allows me to check facebook whenever I want. Anyways, at RCG, we recruit students in the business program every semester with our hiring campaign, which is this time of the semester. This is how the process usually goes: classroom presentations, emails, emails, information sessions, resume review, first round interviews, second round interviews, hire. Anyways, in the past, our hiring methods haven't exactly been objective. In turn, I had to somehow convert the subjective to objective. With my handy recruitment and selection class I took last semester, it's helping me quite a bit. It's just a lot of work to create resume screening, interview, and interview evaluation documents. Almost done. But not quite.

My other than my life being full of work, nothing much really has gone on. I just got sick. That sore throat was the beginning of the end. Not quite, but I'm sure you understand. It just feels horrible to the point that I want to curl up into a ball, cry a little bit, and die. My throat hurts, my nose keeps running, and is beginning to hurt because I'm wiping my nose too much. I have random giant tear-enducing coughing fits. And to add to that, I haven't been getting adequate sleep the last few nights. I'm super tired and feeling like shit. That's enough of my complaining.

Onward, I've missed We The Kings and The Cab. Why?! That's all I can say. Boo.

Checkmarks

So there you are, and here I stand,
As far as I remember you weren't half bad.
Your bedroom behavior was never more than checkmarks on bedposts.
For I remember we never had.

You get me out of the rain, you get me out of my clothes.
You hope I don't make a sound, you hope that nobody knows.
You get me out of the rain, you get me out of my clothes.
You hope I don't make a sound, you hope that no one...

So suck your so called pity down.
Hey, that's not so bad, is it?
So take your cold, cold heart and drown
and don't forget to take deep breaths.
So suck your so called pity down.
Hey, that's not so bad, is it?
So take your cold, cold heart and drown
and don't forget to take deep breaths.

So don't explain cause I know exactly what your going to say.
Big words, recycled phrases, and the bittersweet taste of other boys on your lips.
So now just sit here and talk about how you wanted it all.
So now just sit here and talk about how you wanted it all.

Do you miss looking up from the floor at my face on a stage in a crowded room?
Well it's not the same.
I bet you're still a sucker for those famous faces.
Downtown, looking down, down, looking over the crowd, I hope you're out there, look at me now.
Well it's not the same.
Just look at how we've changed.

--------------------------

Ok, I had a minor realization/freak-out after work today. I'm so fucking behind school that this may be the year I fail. God forbid... but yeah. I fucking worked almost every day for the last week and half of this week. It's just so energy draining. Every fucking day I look forward to sleep. Oh man. When will be the next day I get to sleep without setting an alarm? It has been way too long. I just need more time. Yeah, EVERYONE wishes for more time, but I really mean it. Sad part is, this is probably as good as it gets for the next 2 months. So, how do I solve this? Not work as much and fucking study (and not sleep as much). I'm such a fucking idiot. Prioritize damn it, prioritize. I had this nice plan encircled by happy faces that I was going to succeed, but the light's dimming and all I can do is scramble to find another fucking lightbulb. And yes, I realize that I shouldn't be wasting this "time" I so urgently need by blogging, but I just have to get it out there. Oh man.

Fer Sure

Fer sure maybe fer sure not
Fer sure eh fer sure bomb
Pulled up at a stop light did drugs on the dashboard
Look at the mess we made tonight

Kick off your stilettos

And fuck me in the backseat
Fuck me in the backseat
You're always falling in disguise
And always quick to compromise

Kick off your stilettos [oh yeah]

This is how the beat goes
This is how the beat goes [Just let your body go]

This is how the beat drops

All this time is wasted pretending we're in love
But that's alright cause you know

Oh man. wow. I got all my textbooks today. Grand total? $401.95. Considering that got 2 new, 3 used, and borrowed one, it still sucks ass. On the other hand, I am actually soooo psyched to start the semester off right. Already, I kicked last year me in the ass by taking initiative and getting all my textbooks on time. I can't wait to read and make notes! And organize them! I sound like a complete loser but it's gunna be so fun! But this fun has a cost... called my life. Oh man. But, I am extremely determined to do well this year. I have to get a CGPA of at least 4.0 this year. I have to. I have to be better.

Step one? Clean my room to make it a study-no-distractions-sorta environment fer sure.

That's What You Get

No sir, well I don't wanna be the blame, not anymore.
It's your turn, so take a seat we're settling the final score.
And why do we like to hurt so much?

I can't decide
You have made it harder just to go on
And why, all the possibilities where I was wrong

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating.
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

I wonder, how am I supposed to feel when you're not here.
'Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here.
I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn.
Oh why, all the possibilities I'm sure you've heard.

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating (beating)
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Pain make your way to me, to me.
And I'll always be just so inviting.
If I ever start to think straight,
This heart will start a riot in me,
Let's start, start, hey!

Why do we like to hurt so much?
Oh why do we like to hurt so much?

That's what you get when you let your heart win!
Whoa.

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Now I can't trust myself with anything but this,
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

More on this robot shit...
I have no feelings. I am a robot. Well, not really. I'm a self-admitted quiet-non-talker-cares-about-what-people-think-wall-up kinda girl. A couple days ago, I was working and it suddenly hit me that when things happen in my life that should yield certain emotions/reactions, it doesn't quite happen and doesn't effect me as they should. I realized that I tend to dismiss things and not care about things as much as other people do. I don't cry about anything (unless it's a movie that doesn't end the way I want it to.. I think I have a thing with idealism..). I don't cry when people die in real life. Aren't I a robot? When shit happens, shit just blows over. I think I just have a mentality that when things go wrong, "Fuck it, I don't need this shit". That's how it's always been my whole life or for as long as I remember. I don't need unnecessary stress to happen to me. I can't understand how people can cry over the most insignificant things and call themselves an adult. Seriously. What. The. Hell. People are starving elsewhere, cry over that. Seriously.

Moving onwards, round 15 of my education began today. Familiar faces in familiar places is all I have to say. Already I am dreading the last week of November! Crazy Shit mixed with TAI and Cobra. Oh man. How am I gunna get through this? All I have to say is PLAN PLAN PLAN then do. Plus extra shit has come along. Well, I can't really call it shit, because I welcomed it. Partner, Bitches! Haha oh man, I need a corona. plus lime. Anyways, the next few months will be full of learning, stress, confusion, fear, and accomplishment. Wish me luck.
